TASTING THEATER SCHEDULE

1pm - Evan Williams Bourbon

As more and more people are discovering the greatness of Bourbon Whiskey, it is a great time to discuss what makes this type of whiskey unique. Part of its uniqueness is in its aging. While the whiskey ages, it is evolving. The interaction between the whiskey and the wood is changing the bourbon’s aroma, flavor, mouthfeel and finish. We will discuss how this occurs and why it is so important to the spirit we all love.

 2pm - Red Hare Brewing

Down the Rabbit Hole: We will discuss the history of Red Hare Brewing, along with a profile of three of our hottest beers!

 3pm - Maker's Mark Tasting Seminar

It starts with an idea and a man, back in October 1953. Maker’s Mark® founder, Bill Samuels, Sr., Then came the bourbon.  It’s all about great taste and the personal touch.  Still to this day, after the bottles are filled, each is hand-dipped in the signature red wax, so bottle has a different drip, but every drop of bourbon is the same.  Enjoy a guided educational & tasting tour of Maker’s Mark® Bourbon, Maker’s 46®, and Maker’s Mark® Cask Strength that will have you wanting to drive to Loretto, KY to dip you own bottle.”

4pm - Auchentoshan & Ale

Whisky and beer have always been good mates, but they’ve been content with hanging out in the same bars and not getting much closer than that.  They have just been long been term in the “friends zone.”  Well, Auchentoshan Single Malt Lowland Scotch has “hooked” up to make a match with Ale.   Though the 'hauf an' a hauf' (a whisky & ale chaser) is an old Scottish favorite, join us and learn about Auchentoshan and Ale.  What makes them unique on their own but amazing together.  This combo of flavors can provide you with an unexpectedly refreshing combination. Then try it with your favorite Ale on your own later.
